Entering the heavenly-garden or hell-fire only depends on repentance even if his sins are by the number the particles’ weights of the enormous universe
..In the name of Allah the All Merciful, the Most Merciful, and peace be upon the sent ones, and praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds
My brother in religion of Allah, may Allah bless you, you have sent a question to the Imam then you answered yourself with Truth without doubt nor suspicion in it because you brought the answer from Allah’s decisive grand Quran in the word of Allah the Most High: {And they say: Fire will not touch us but for a few days. Say: Have you received a promise from Allah? Then Allah will not fail to perform His promise. Or do you speak against Allah what you know not?(80) Yea, whoever earns evil and his sins has surrounded him, those are the companions of the Fire; therein they abide.(81)}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Baqarah] 2:80-81
{وَقَالُوا لَن تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلَّا أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَةً قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَهْدًا فَلَن يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ عَهْدَهُ أَمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾ بَلَىٰ مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةً وَأَحَاطَتْ بِهِ خَطِيئَتُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ﴿٨١﴾} صدق الله العظيم [البقرة].
Confirming with the word of Allah the Most High: {Every soul will taste of death. And you will be paid your reward fully only on the Resurrection day. Then whoever is removed far from the Fire and is made to enter the Garden, he indeed attains the object. And the life of this world is nothing but a provision of vanities.}Truthful Allah the Great [Ãli-´Imrãn] 3:185
{كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ} صدق الله العظيم [آلعمران:١٨٥].
That’s because entering the heavenly-garden or hell-fire depends only on the repentance, so even if his sins were by the number of the particles’ weights of the enormous universe then he turned to Allah we full-repentance devoting religion to Him before he sees death; (consequently) Allah forgave his shortcomings in the past and made him enter His heavenly-garden, so if death came to him while he is of who repent, (consequently) he would enter the heavenly-garden, (but) if death came to him while he is of the wrongdoers, then Allah would make him enter hell-fire and render his past good-deeds as scattered dust even if he was of the righteous ones before that then death caught-up with him while he is surrounded by his sin and he has turned away from his repentance, even if he was worshiping Allah for a thousand years then he went back to the wrongdoers verily there is no acceptance for his thousand years of worship as long as the sin surrounded him then death caught up with him while he is of the wrong doers and not of the repenting one's. And if he disobeyed All for a thousand years then he repented to his Lord before he saw death even by one day; verily Allah would forgive his past sins and make him enter His heavenly-garden, Confirming with the word of Allah the Most High: {Repentance with Allah is only for those who do evil in ignorance, then turn (to Allah repenting) soon, so these it is to whom Allah turns (mercifully).(17) And repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds, until when death comes to one of them, he says: Now I repent; nor (for) those who die while they are disbelievers. For such We have prepared a painful chastisement.(18)}And Allah is ever Knowing, Wise.(17) }Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Nesã`a] 4:17-18

The True explanatory-statement for the word of Allah the Most High: {Repentance with Allah is only for those who do evil in ignorance, then turn (to Allah repenting) soon..}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Nesã`a] 4:17, verily He does not mean the ignorance that he does not know that he committed a sin; in fact he was blind of understanding (Allah’s) sure knowledge, and whoever was blind of understanding (Allah’s) sure knowledge (in the Quran) then he is of the ignorant ones.
{إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ} صدق الله العظيم [النساء]
As for the explanatory-statement for the word of Allah the Most High: {then turn (to Allah repenting) soon}, which means before he sees the angels of death who beats them on their faces and their behinds to take out their souls, so when the angels come whom were by his right and his left so one would be between his hands while the other from his behind (as quoted in the Quran) beating their faces and their behinds then say to them get your souls out, then he would say I repent now, verily Allah would never accept from him because death just came to him while he is not of the repenting ones and his sin surrounded him. While the chastisement is not that he enters hell-fire as much as his sin then he gets out of it; in fact the judgement to whom enters hell-fire is eternal Confirming with the word of Allah the Most High: {And they who call not upon another god with Allah and slay not the soul which Allah has forbidden, except in the cause of justice, nor commit fornication; and he who does this shall meet a requital of sin —(68) The chastisement will be doubled to him on the day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in abasement —(69) Except him who repents and believes and does good deeds; for such Allah changes their evil deeds to good ones. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.(70) And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning.(71)}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Furqãn] 25:68-71
{وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بالحقّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا ﴿٦٨﴾ يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا ﴿٦٩﴾ إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ﴿٧٠﴾ وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا ﴿٧١﴾} صدق الله العظيم [الفرقان]
