(Fatwa of the Imam Mahdi about birthday occasions and prohibition of exalting the prophets and the Imam Mahdi)

I have issued fatwa about birthday occasions and the matter has (already) been decided — O son of Omar — verily it draws exalting and the exalting draws polytheism..
In the name of Allah the All Merciful, the Most Merciful, prayer of forgiveness and peace be upon Mohammad messenger of Allah -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- by the number of seconds of length of time until the sun reaches the set-destination, and upon whom followed him with goodness and followed the supporter to him the Awaited Mahdi, then after this..
I have given fatwa about birthday festivities and the matter has (already) been decided — O son of Omar — indeed it draws exalting and the exalting draws the polytheism and disbelief; and the disbelief draws loss for life, and your messenger has no right over you to make for him birthday festivities; in fact his happiness that you follow him and exalt the rites of your Lord, and you invoke prayers of forgiveness upon him after every prayer then you supplicate-asking mercy for him and that Allah rewards him good as he delivered the message and been patient upon the harm of the disbelievers until the victory, and if you wanted holiday let it be the descending of the Quran in the month of Ramadan in which the Quran came down then you ask yourselves; are you still holding firm with what came in it? Surely that is most loved to Mohammad messenger of Allah rather than you make for him a birthday celebration; isn’t the cause of the Christians’ sedition but the exalting without right in (christmas) the birthday celebration of the Messiah and the exalting to his personality? And not exalting to what he came with it so the exalting to his person distracted them from what he came with until they exaggerated in the son of Mary without right so they entered in polytheism and they said that he is son of Allah and a party said; in fact he is Allah and another (party) said; in fact (he is) a third of three, and has the exalting draw (anything) other than the disbelief O son of Omar? so if Mohammad messenger of Allah -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- ordered you to make a birthday celebration then do; in fact he prohibited you from that. And prayer of forgiveness and peace be upon him said: [Do not exalt me as the Christians exalted their prophets] Truthful Allah’s messenger Mohammad, prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family
[لا تعظموني كما تُعظم النصارى أنبياءهم]
In a sense that you should not make yourselves busy about his self being; in fact get busy with exalting to what he came with it and that is from the hearts’ guarding against evil, as for exalting the self being of the messenger it would draw the blindness and the light departs, and the right of Mohammad messenger of Allah over you is to increase the invoking of prayer of forgiveness and peace upon him, and that he of all the people is the most loved to yourself to the degree that you would love his family so you love them in Allah’s sake, and if the love of the human being intensifies surely he would love the relatives of his beloved, and that is a sign of the great love, Mohammad messenger of Allah -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- does not ask you a reward except the love to the near-kin (of his), and that’s only from the intensity of your love to the oneself of your prophet prayer of forgiveness and peace be upon him, and your love to Allah’s messenger Mohammad is only from the intensity of your love to Allah the Loving-Compassionate, so you would follow what he came with it then Allah would love you, and that is what the prophet loves it that you follow him and you pursue his route and you step his footsteps upon the straight path.
O son of Omar, I do not know the rights for the prophets’ birthday, and every innovation is falsehood, and every falsehood is in the fire — O son of Omar, so how can you believe that I am the Awaited Mahdi then you object his fatwa with Truth — O the honorable son of Omar? And the reason of forbidding the birthday festivities because it draws the exalting — O son of Omar, and if you have survived from the polytheism other than you did not survive, (I ask) Allah to enlighten your heart and strengthen your insight, verily I do not consult you nor others besides you about the matter of the fatwa; in fact I bear the responsibility of it towards my Lord, and indeed I want to bring forth the people from worshiping the servants among the messengers and the ones who are brought near (to Allah) — servants like you — to worship Lord of the worlds, so do not let exalting the prophets themselves from exalting what the prophets came with of Allah’s rites, so why you do not make the True holiday the night of descending of the Light to the messenger -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- which is descending of the Quran holiday? That’s a mercy for the worlds, and that’s from your exalting for the Quran if you did and studied what came in the Book of Allah the Mighty, the Wise. then Allah would increase light to you and with it He gladdens your chests, but unfortunately the Muslims said: As long as the Christians make a holiday for the Messiah Jesus -prayer of forgiveness and peace be upon him- so why can't we do like them? And you did like them. (sadly) among the Muslims who call Mohammad messenger of Allah -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- besides Allah so he would say: “O the light of the hearts”! And I do not know know that Allah’s messenger Mohammad is light of the hearts; in fact the light is which descended upon him to illuminate for the people to the path of the Al Mighty, the Praised One. Confirming with the word of Allah the Most High: {So believe in Allah and His messenger and the Light which We have sent down (revelations of the Quran). And Allah is Aware of what you do.}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Taghaabun] 64:8
{فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالنُّورِ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْنَا ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ} صدق الله العظيم [التغابن:٨].
But Allah’s messenger Mohammad an illuminating lantern for the worlds with the Quran — O son of Omar. Allah is the Light, and to whom Allah does not give light, he has no light! And it should not be for you exalting the Awaited Mahdi, in fact he is a servant for Allah like you; in fact exalt the One Self of your Lord and His rites verily Allah makes for you a sharp sight, and the rights of the prophets is the love and the following but not birthday festivities. Will you then desist for you may walk in the right way? And the greatness is for Allah Alone, while the birthday festivities draw exalting — O son of Omar, and the exalting draws the exaggeration and exceeding then comes after that the association, then the disbelief then the fire and the seeking refuge is in Allah the One the Supreme, so exalt your Lord night and day is best for you than exalting His servants, do you find the word of Allah: {You are not but a warner} [Fater] 35:23? Thus His word: {And Muhammad is but a messenger — messengers have already passed away before him. If then he dies or is killed, will you turn back upon your heels? And he who turns back upon his heels will do no harm at all to Allah. And Allah will reward the grateful.}Truthful Allah the Great [Ãli-´Imrãn] 3:144
{إِنْ أَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ ﴿٢٣﴾} [فاطر]
{وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ ۚ أَفَإِن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ ۚ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ اللَّـهَ شَيْئًا ۗ وَسَيَجْزِي اللَّـهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ ﴿١٤٤﴾} صدق الله العظيم [آلعمران].
Do you know what is the reason of polytheism of many Shiites with the family of the House? It is the birthday festivities — O son of Omar, the exalting of theirs increased to the family of the House even some of the Shiite brothers call the family of the House besides Allah except those among them on whom my Lord has mercy, will you desist?
And the Appearing drew near, and Allah completes the Light, and fulfills His promise with Truth and grant victory to His servant and make him appear over the people in a night while they are humiliated with disgrace, verily Allah has power over all things, an Excellent Guardian and an Excellent Supporter. And if you refused oh son of Omar then you have to bring me a clear convincing authority from Allah’s Book and the sunna of His messenger, and you would never find that ever not in Allah’s Book nor the Sunna of His messenger -prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family- in fact you will find the prohibition from that and Allah’s messenger, prayer of Allah’s forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family said: [Do not exalt me as the Christians exalted their prophets] truthful Allah’s messenger, prayer of forgiveness and peace be upon him and his family, but you violated His command then you made for him birthday festivities as the Christians do and indeed you are mistaking so will you desist? And we belong to Allah and verily to Him we return..
